Massage is most often associated with words like relax & rejuvenate, while these certainly are benefits of massage, the therapeutic benefits of massage go well beyond the "Take me away from it all" experience so often portrayed in the movies, leaving you with the feeling that you must be wealthy to want or need a massage! While I do offer that get away from it all experience and atmosphere not to mention a complementary coffee bar as well as various beverages including an assortment of wine, you probably were not looking to relax when you came upon my web site.
Whatever you call it, acute or chronic pain, there's one thing all sufferers can agree on--the need for pain management and relief.
Let's play name that pain!
If you have seen a doctor for your pain they have probably given you a diagnosis with a term like, herniated disc, thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sciatica, whiplash, fibromyalgia or TMJ just to name a few. Unfortunately, knowing the proper medical definition does not offer any sort of pain relief to you, but, you do have choices.
Traditionally, the options offered by the medical establishment for pain management have been surgery and drug therapies.
Pain Relief with pills is an option, although sometimes the side effects are worse than the condition they are trying to treat, not to mention the possible adverse effects on the rest of your body!
The surgical approach to pain relief is also an option, but when you consider the often unpredictable yet permanent impact surgery can have on your body makes it a risky last resort in most cases. You can't undo surgery.
While I'm most certainly not the first person that has had a theory about pain relief, I do however have a unique approach for achieving that relief without drugs, surgery or a miracle brace to magically make your pain disappear.
Most common pain conditions are simply imbalances within your muscular system. Over time, the repetitive actions we perform lead to some muscles working more than others.
First you must identify the source of the pain, release those tight (cause of the pain) muscles thereby allowing the weak (source of the pain) muscles a chance to return to their normal length. Then show you how even small changes in the task you perform regularly along with a few stretches will enable you to return to a Pain Free life.
